1 Samuel 30: 1-25 Devotion : Take Back What The Devil Stole ( Pt. 2)
Good morning Family, this morning we are going to continue featuring 1 Samuel, where David and his army lost their wives, children and possessions. We are going to focus on the battle for family and marriages and the tool we are going to employ, prayer.
We are aware that David looked to God before he made any move. Then he went with his army. You must employ the people of your small group to begin praying. Now, we are not talking once or twice about the situation but to visit “Knee City” (bend your knees in prayer constantly). This means praying without ceasing, spending quality time in the presence of the Lord.
But we must also position ourselves for victory. Not coming to God with doubts even when the person you are praying for gives you no hope. Thank the Lord, that your hope and faith is not in them but the Lord that still orders the steps of a righteous man or woman. Remember Proverbs 21:1, The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will. This means that God can alter the hearts of who He chooses and your family members too can turn towards God.
Then believers, I know that you are experiencing pain in this time, but we are children of the most high and while we may weep, we will still lift our hands high rejoice and give praise according to 1 Thessalonians 5:16-17 (Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”)
So this morning, I want you to take away these points:
· Pray Continually
· Position for Victory
· Praise in the hard season
Come, join me in prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, we thank You that when we are passing through the waters and storms of life that You promised to be with us. That You will lift us up with Your right hand and can restore all that the devil has stolen from us in Jesus name. Amen

Amen
