1 Samuel 30: 1-25 Devotion : Take Back What The Devil Stole ( Pt. 1)

Good morning Family, this morning let us examine the passage in 1 Samuel, where David and his army lost their wives, children and possessions. Now we all know that the devil will always launch an attack on family and marriages and none of
us is immune.
We need not look at statistics about divorces, broken marriages and family as we all know someone, have experienced it or are going through it. Now the point of this message is not to highlight the obvious but demonstrate God’s hand at work in our lives.
Many of us have left our family unprotected for a long time. We did not feed on the word, go to church, raise up the children as the bible instructed and now the devil is no longer at the door but has scorched our homes and taken the marriage / family captive. The pain we feel is real but noticed that David wept but did not stay in that state. He encouraged himself in the Lord.
In a prayerful way he asked the Lord if He should pursue, and the Lord answered yes. Many of us might be asking of the Lord but He has not blessed us with an affirmative because there are things in our lives that we must surrender. But once given the answer, notice that the Lord promised David that he would recover all without fail. He and his army. This is your small circle that is with you in prayer. This is us taking back what the devil has stolen in our lives.
Come, join me in prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, we thank You for being who You are and for always being present in our lives. Lord, we thank you that once you have instructed us and we move accordingly that victory is guaranteed in Jesus name. Amen

Amen
