Good morning, Family. Let us lift our hands and step boldly into today with confidence that our Heavenly Father has us in the palm of His hands.
Our devotion will focus on fear. I am acutely cognizant that some fears lurk , some are dormant, and others are circumstance driven, but still recurring . The Bible says the Lord did not give us a spirit of fear but of power, and love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7 ).
The Lord gave us power, love, and the last one, sound mind. It is in our mind that fear manifests itself. It is in our mind that tall buildings gives some people anxiety. It is in your mind that certain smells or just walking through or being in a damp place trigger panic attacks.
Let us meditate and live Psalm 34:4 which states, "I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears." Notice that it was not a few or some fears but ALL my fears. Not our grandparents fears, not your moms fears. This carries a direct correlation to seeking the Lord. So let us dispel ALL the fears we have through seeking the Lord.
So, while the sun is still shinning on you, let us pray and seek the Lord for these respective fears. Come, join me in prayer. Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our voice today. Lord we thank you that your word gives us the comfort that you will deliver us from whatever fear presents itself to us. Lord, through you, we have the victory over fear. In Jesus'
name we pray. Amen.
