Good morning Family, Let us give thanks for what The Lord is about to do today in our respective lives. Today's topic of devotion is " Investing in Finite or Infinite " and the scripture reading comes to us from 1 Corinthians 3:8-9.  Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.

In life we find that we invest in various things of interest for some of us.We invest a lot into education and we spend up to twenty years of our lives or more being educated and training for the career that we wish to embark on. Now , there is  nothing wrong with this, and we will be rewarded for the investment in our education. For some of us, we invest in bonds and stocks, and we are rewarded accordingly, depending on the market and  wisdom which was executed in selecting  them.

 The concern is investment in things for a finite  period against the lack of investment for the infinite.  The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. (Psalm 90:10 KJV)

Often times, we pour so much energy in living for these 70 years  the same as unbelievers do. We barely want to spend time with the things of God. Prayer has become an adjunct and not a way of life. Reading the Bible is something we think about after all the books, emails and tweets have been read. Christianity is a group we attach association with but the Christ like living is unrecognizable. It is the people who make up the church, but we have forsaken the gathering of the brethren for only weddings,  christening and funerals.

We live our lives with a pinch of Christianity but a healthy serving of the world and then say God understands your intentions and knows your heart. If you had a true desire to invest in your spiritual eternity, your portfolio would  look very different than it is now. Remember,  the Lord will reward us according to our labour.

Come , join me prayer. Dear Lord, we thank You that You are a rewarder of those that diligently seek You. Heavenly father we ask that You look into the portfolio of our lives and make the adjustments where necessary.  In Jesus' name  we pray, Amen
